Association of Malay Entrepreneurs
Yescom was first launched in 2005 by Mr. Maidin Packer BPM, former MP for Kampong Ubi GRC and Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs. Its vision is to instill entrepreneur's spirit among the youth targeting students from primary school level up to tertiary level. Participants, in team of ten (maximum) will take part in every segments of the competition. The first segment is the seminar and workshop on entrepreneurship. This is followed by the business assignment. Prominent business person will be present to mentor the participants and share their experience as an entrepreneur. Their efforts will climax at the Grand Finale where they will be assigned a gazebo at which to display and sell their products to the public strictly using coupons. Each team will be given $1000 value of coupons to sell and they are encouraged to market their products through YouTube, family and friend. All money collected on the grand finale will be kept by the respective team/school. Winner will be awarded with cash and trophy.
